Saskatoon police used a stolen vehicle’s OnStar system to track and catch it on Wednesday.
Around 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at a parking lot in the 3500 block of Eighth Street East, police said in a news release on Thursday.
At the scene, officers learned a 56-year-old man had been pulled from his vehicle by several men, who then stole the vehicle.

Officers used the vehicle’s OnStar system to track its location and found it parked in the 900 block of Central Avenue.
As the officers approached, the suspects tried to flee in the vehicle, the release said.
“OnStar immediately disabled the vehicle as it began to accelerate and the suspects then fled on foot.”
The vehicle continued to roll forward, hitting three parked vehicles before coming to a stop.
After a brief search of the area, officers found and arrested the suspects.
A 23-year-old man and a 29-year-old man are charged with robbery.
