David Ornstein of The Athletic claims that the two clubs are still working to complete the transfer, with issues to resolve between them.
He says that United are relaxed if a deal doesn’t go through, with Wan-Bissaka still in Manchester as things stand.
United of course have already agreed to sign a new right-back in Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich, but that deal is dependent upon Wan-Bissaka leaving.

Interesting development in AC Milan’s bid to sign Tottenham defender Emerson Royal.
Italian media reports have claimed talks over the coming days will seal a £13m switch to the San Siro for the Brazilian defender.
Indeed, only today we had a line from Il Giornale insisting personal terms were agreed and the deal would be done soon.
However, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs has now reported that Milan are no longer prioritising the Royal transfer. They are said to want to sign a midfielder and attacker first.
Let’s see how this one pans out, as Tottenham are quite keen to cash in on the right-back.

Crystal Palace latest as winger nears Championship stint
Thursday 8 August 2024 10:19 , Marc Mayo
Sheffield United are closing in on a deal to sign Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan, writes Dom Smith.
The Blades have agreed to pay more than £1million in loan fees and 100 per cent of Rak-Sakyi’s wages to acquire him for the season.
Palace decided a Championship loan deal suited both parties best after rejecting a £7m bid for the 21-year-old from newly promoted Southampton in July.
He had also attracted interest from Leeds, Hull and Burnley. QPR dropped out of the race due to the finances involved.
Standard Sport understands Palace will insert a recall clause in the deal, in case they decide to terminate the loan spell in January.
Rak-Sakyi joined Palace’s academy in 2019 from Chelsea and scored 15 goals on loan at League One side Charlton as a teenager in the 2022/23 campaign.
Meanwhile, Palace are interested in Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix.
Discussions between Palace and Newcastle are underway ahead of a potential move to the Magpies. The England international Guehi rejoined Palace’s squad yesterday after a holiday following Euro 2024.

There was initial interest from Fulham and Everton in January, but formal bids never materialised and he remained at Brentford. His current contract runs until 2027 and includes an option for a further year.
Brentford yesterday agreed a deal to sign Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste in Onyeka’s position.
Cajuste is set to join on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy for £10million next summer.

Liverpool target skips training to force transfer

Rumours of a £45million transfer away from Bergamo have been rife since Koopmeiners helped his team win last season’s Europa League, with Liverpool strongly linked as Arne Slot eyes his first new signing.
However it is Juventus in pole position for the Dutchman and Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has claimed that the player has already agreed to move to Turin, leaving his club feeling “blackmailed”.
“The situation with him was going very well until last week, then the player decided to go to Juventus,” Gasperini revealed to local newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo.
“He already has an agreement, he feels stressed and has decided not to play or train with us anymore.
“With this attitude he cannot be useful to the team, nor to his teammates. The club therefore has taken a very firm line, because we feel blackmailed by this situation.”
