As cool as they are the first time around, there is nothing more frustrating than having to endure a super long halftime show cutscene when you want to get back on the field. Even though it’s a cool new addition, there are certainly times when they can run a bit long when you’d rather jump back into the game. Thankfully, players over on the /r/NCAAFBseries subreddit have figured out how to skip long halftime shows in EA Sports College Football 25.
To skip any halftime show in EA Sports College Football 25, simply hold the X button if you’re playing on PlayStation 5, or hold the A button if you are playing on Xbox Series X|S. It’s that simple. Unfortunately, there’s no sort of indicator, notification, or progress bar when holding the button to skip the halftime shows, but trust us, it works!
Despite this being a rather straightforward solution for skipping halftime shows in College Football 25, many players had no idea exactly how to do it since there’s no indication of how to do so anywhere in the game. For reference, similar games like Madden typically have a brief message at the bottom of the screen illustrating how to skip them.
While some of the players on the subreddit are shocked that others didn’t know how to skip the halftime shows, a majority of the comments are from fans thanking user AntawnJamison for sharing the tip, while also voicing their frustration that the information wasn’t more easily available.
Even though this is a very helpful tip for skipping the annoyingly long halftime shows, it doesn’t appear that you can skip opening introductions when playing online. Unfortunately. there doesn’t seem to be a way around this, so you’ll have to simply sit through it until the game starts.
