Marshfield area voters went to the polls Tuesday to vote on two state constitutional amendments and for candidates to represent parties in the Nov. 5 general election.
The offices up for election include U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, Wisconsin State Senate, Wisconsin State Assembly and Wood County elected officials: district attorney, clerk, treasurer and register of deeds.
Here are the results of the contested races in Tuesday’s partisan primary election.
U.S. Senate
Republican Eric Hovde will face incumbent Democrat U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin in the November general election. At press time early Wednesday morning, 97.24% of votes had been reported and The Associated Press had called the race.
Republican Party
Eric Hovde: 476,211 (86.3%)
Charles E. Barman: 40,854 (7.4%)
Rejani Raveendran: 34,534 (6.3%)
7th Congressional District
Democrat Kyle Kilbourn will face incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany in the November general election.
Democratic Party
Kyle Kilbourn: 32,920 (58.1%)
Elsa Rae Duranceau: 23,785 (41.9%)

Assembly District 69
Republican Karen Hurd, of Thorp, will face Democrat Roger Halls, of Stanley, and Independent Joshua Kelly, of Greenwood, in the November general election.

Karen Hurd: 3,892 (57.2%)
Lori J. Voss: 2,909 (42.8%)
Assembly District 86
Republican John Spiros will face Democrat John H. Small of Marathon in the November general election.
Republican Party
John Spiros (i): 3,709 (43.3%)
Donna Rozar: 2,721 (31.7%)
Trine Spindler: 2,143 (25%)
Constitutional amendments
At press time early Wednesday morning, 98.78% of votes in the state had been reported for the two constitutional amendments that appeared on Tuesday’s ballot and The Associated Press had called the race for both questions.
Question 1: “Delegation of appropriation power.”

Question 2: “Allocation of federal moneys.”
