Melville RCMP continue to investigate a highway collision that left one man dead and another injured Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a collision on Highway 10 between Melville and Otthon at about 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 13, according to an RCMP news release issued Wednesday. An initial investigation found than an SUV and a truck towing a trailer had collided.

The driver of the SUV, a 66-year-old man from Regina, was declared deceased at the scene and his family has been notified. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with injuries “described as non-life-threatening in nature.”
“Highway #10 was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened,” stated the release. “Melville RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.”
