“In last 10 years, 100 million women joined women self-help groups. 10 crore women are becoming financially independent. When women become financially independent they become part of the decision-making system in a household leading to social change…Till now, 9 lakh crores have been given to self-help groups in the country,” PM Modi stated.

“Red-tapism is a thing of the past. The nation is being led by good governance. Now, the government goes to people for support and not vice versa,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today.

“How can we forget the Corona period? Our country administered vaccines to crores of people the fastest of all, across the world. This is the same country where terrorists used to come and attack us. When the armed forces of the country execute surgical strike, when it does airstrike, the youth of the country are filled with pride. That is why the 140 crore citizens of the country are proud today,” PM Modi stated in his address from the Red Fort.

The banking sector plays a significant role in the lives of the middle class, providing loans for education and business ventures, PM Modi stated today. “I am pleased to see that now even fishermen and farmers are benefiting from banking loans,” he said. “Unfortunately, in the past, people had to endure a ‘mai-baap’ culture, where they had to plead with the government for every necessity. Today, we have transformed this governance model. The government is now actively involved in youth skill development and is taking steps to improve access to essential services, such as installing gas connections and water connectivity directly in people’s homes,” said PM Modi. 

“We gave the mantra for ‘Vocal for Local’. Today, I am happy that Vocal for Local has become a new mantra for the economic system. Every district has started taking pride in its produce. There is an environment conducive for ‘One District One Product’,” PM Modi said in his Independence Day speech.

“Some people question why we should work for future generations. However, many across the country have long awaited significant reforms. When we came to power, we made the decision to advance major reforms aimed at transforming lives. I want to assure the public that these reforms are not merely for temporary attention; they are designed to strengthen the nation. That is why I can confidently say that today, these reforms have become the blueprint for our growth,” Prime Minister Modi asserted, while addressing the nation on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi said.

On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day,  Prime Minister Modi said, “Viksit Bharat 2047 is more than just a phrase for a speech; it represents a significant commitment and effort. We are actively working towards this vision and have sought input from citizens to shape it. The dreams and aspirations of every individual—whether young or old, urban or rural, including farmers and Dalits—have been integrated into this vision.”

“Natural disasters have heightened our concern over the last few years. I express my sympathies to affected families,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. “Several people have lost their family members, property in natural calamity. Out nation too has suffered losses. Today, I express my sympathy to all of them and I assure them that this nation stands with them in this hour of crisis,” PM Modi added.

“Today is the day to pay tributes to the uncountable ‘Azaadi ke deewane’ who made sacrifices for the nation. This country is indebted to them,” PM Modi said, expressing the nation’s deep gratitude for their contributions.
