Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has collaborated with insurtech Sprout, Inc. and insurer Britam Holding plc on a new parametric insurance product designed to protect Kenyan coffee growers against losses from drought, Artemis reported. The insurance will provide rapid payouts to farmers when triggered by specific weather events to mitigate the risks of crop failures.
