I don’t think it’s unusual to say that maths is boring. In fact, I’d hazard a guess that the entire reason CRPGs exist is because maths in games like Dungeons & Dragons was just too tedious. But, there are always games that want to make arithmetic fun, and the latest of these is the strangely-named Divide by Sheep 2.
Coming from publisher tinyBuild games, Divide by Sheep 2 is a surprisingly gory, math-based puzzler where you need to guide your sheep to the exit. To do so you’ll have to bounce them from tile to tile, evading traps, wolves and worse along the way.
But it’s not just a simple movement game, as you’ll also be faced with impossible choices that’ll slowly whittle down your fluffy compatriots. Figure out how to get as many as possible to the finish line, anticipating what will happen on each turn. When all else fails and you can’t figure it out, simply divide by sheep.
Baaah
As far as math games go, I’m surprised that Divide by Sheep 2 even bills itself as such. Although I admit that, judging by the gameplay, math is indeed a crucial component to completing these puzzles. There’s also a surprising amount of blood & guts in this seemingly cutesy, cartoon puzzler, so buyer beware if you think it’s all sunshine and roses.
