Stock Market LIVE on Wednesday, August 21, 2024: Benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex were volatile on Wednesday, tracking weak global cues. BSE Sensex was 75 points lower at 80,727 levels, while Nifty50 was up 9 points at 24,709 levels.
Divi’s Labs, HDFC Life, Tata Motors, and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers on the NSE, while Shriram Finance, UltraTech Cement, and Tata Steel were the top laggards.
Broader markets, on the other hand, were trading with a positive bias. Nifty SmallCap rose 0.19 per cent while MidCap was trading 0.88 per cent higher.
Sectorally, the Nifty FMCG, and Media were leading the gains, while IT, Banks, and Realty indices traded lower.
