Alister McKellar, managing director of the Bahamas International Securities Exchange-listed insurance broker, said that global reinsurers are unlikely to expand their exposure in the region anytime soon, suggesting that reinsurance rates are likely to stay elevated, Eye Witness News reported. Mr. McKellar said that the company is actively seeking alternative avenues of capacity, especially for storm coverage.
