Matt O’Riley is closing in on a move from Celtic to Brighton after the two clubs agreed a deal worth £25million.
The subject of a string of failed bids from Italian side Atalanta throughout the summer, the 23-year-old’s exit is now set to be sealed, making him the Seagulls’ newest midfielder.
There will be no add-ons included in the deal, Mail Sport understands, but £25m comes close to the figure Celtic had been demanding.
The Denmark international is now expected to miss Celtic’s game away at St Mirren on Sunday to finalise the move.
Brendan Rodgers will also need to look at how to replace O’Riley with LAFC’s Mateusz Bogusz said to be available for around £8m.

O’Riley was a Fulham academy graduate who went on to MK Dons.
Celtic then snapped him up for a modest £1.5m in January 2022 under Ange Postecoglou. He went on to win three Scottish Premiership titles as well as several other cups, all while becoming a Denmark international.
