Regina Police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating after a woman was found dead in Regina on Friday night.
Around 10 p.m., police say they were among the first responders called to a home on the 1000 block of King Street.
When they got there, they found a dead woman in the home.
More police officers from the force’s major crime unit and forensic identification unit were called in, and as of Saturday morning, Regina Police say the investigation remains in an “early stage.”

At this point, police say they are not releasing the dead woman’s name to the public, but anyone who has information that could help with the investigation is asked to get in touch with the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
The woman’s next of kin have been notified.
