Syrups in Fields of Mistria are particularly useful when it comes to the Mines, and can be used to not only refill your health and stamina, but also give you some buffs. It’s a good idea to keep a stack of these to hand at any moment.
How to get Syrups in Fields of Mistria
Syrups can be purchased at Valen’s Clinic for 500 Tesserae each, and there are five different syrups to choose from. Each Syrup has a different effect, so it’s worth knowing what each does.
Restorative Syrup
Restorative Syrup is dark green and described as tasting like Spearmint. When consumed, it provides you with 2 hours (in-game time) of health and stamina regeneration, providing you with approximately 5 of each stat every 10 in-game minutes. This is particularly useful in the mines, when you have to worry about losing health to monsters.
Speedy Syrup
This Syrup is a dark orange color and apparently tastes like Oranges. When consumed, it provides you with a two hour (in-game time) speed boost. This is particularly useful when exploring the mines, lessening the time that you spend on each floor. It’s also useful when you’re trying to find particular bugs or fish, as it allows you to move between maps much more quickly.
Fairy Syrup
This Syrup is possibly the most useful of all when in the Mines, and if you plan to go down there at any point during the day, you should take this first thing in the morning. Fairy Syrup is pink in color, described as tasting like Strawberries, and will revive you if you pass out down in the Mines. It doesn’t work if you pass out at 2 a.m., however.
Stamina Syrup
Stamina Syrup is bright green in color and apparently tastes like Peppermint. When consumed, Stamina Syrup will provide you with 100 Stamina. These are useful both inside and outside of the Mines, but it’s worth remembering that some recipes can provide much more Stamina when cooked and eaten.
Healing Syrup
This Syrup is red in color and tastes like Cherry, according to the in-game description. When consumed, Healing Syrup will restore 100 points of Health. It’s always a good idea to take a stack of these down into the Mines with you, although there are some recipes which restore more health when consumed.
