Moves include new MD who will co-lead key practice
Alliant Insurance Services has made leadership enhancements within its mergers & acquisitions specialty practice by appointing seasoned professionals Mark Rusas (pictured left) and Peter Miraglia (pictured right) in New York.
Rusas, with over three decades of industry experience, came on board as executive vice president and managing director to co-lead the M&A practice alongside fellow MD Jonathan Gilbert and EVP Daniel Schoenberg.
“Many firms tout a focus on industry specialization and executing on what is in their clients’ best interests, but Alliant lives this ideology,” Rusas declared. “The ability to attract great talent and focus on driving the best outcomes for clients make Alliant a formidable competitor in the landscape of insurance brokers focused on PE (private equity) and M&A.
“The firm’s commitment to innovation and excellence aligns perfectly with my vision for the future of the private equity and M&A sectors, and I am excited to collaborate with such a talented team.”
Simultaneously, Miraglia was named EVP at Alliant M&A. With a strong background in risk management and transactional insurance, Miraglia will contribute to enhancing the firm’s client services, particularly in complex deal structures.
Michael Cusack, Alliant Specialty EVP, emphasized the importance of the appointments.
“Mark’s extensive experience, proven leadership, enthusiasm for the business, and deep industry knowledge will be instrumental in advancing our private equity and M&A vertical,” Cusack commented. “We are confident that Mark will play a key role in scaling our continued success and growth to secure a leadership position for Alliant in this segment.
“Peter has an unparalleled depth of experience as an insurance executive, working with private equity and M&A clients for decades. We welcome his leadership in building our dedicated and fully integrated M&A and private equity practice to establish Alliant as the dominant M&A insurance broker serving this segment of the marketplace.”
