A 40-year-old man has been charged with arson after the back deck of a downtown home was set on fire.
Windsor police responded to a report of a disturbance Sunday around 4 p.m., in the 400 block of Janette Avenue.
They found a man sitting on the grass, suffering from severe burns.
Police said there had been a verbal altercation between the injured man and occupants of a home in the 400 block of Caron Avenue.

After the argument became physical, it is alleged the man poured gasoline on the backyard deck and then set fire to the gas-soaked wood.
The suspect fled on foot before officers located him on Janette Avenue.
The man was taken to hospital. Police said his injuries were non-life-threatening.
The suspect has been charged with arson with disregard for human life and arston causing damage to property.
