The 61-year-old drug and alcohol addiction specialist was shot at point-blank range by an assassin in the parking lot of the Warner Plaza Urgent Center on Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Los Angeles around 5.30 p.m. last Friday.
Mirshojae was walking to his Lexus when the lone killer struck.
So far, cops say other than CCTV footage they have little to go on. The killer’s identity and motivation remain a blank but there was little hesitation when it came time to shoot the doctor from behind.
Bullet casings were discovered at the scene.
Just months before the killing, Mirshojae was attacked and badly beaten outside his clinic by three thugs armed with baseball bats.
According to the New York Post, his ex-wife, Ahang Zarin Kelk, wrote on social media after his death: “Hamid, the kids and I are in so much shock we miss you so bad.

“He was always helping people seeing tens and thousands of patients for decades we fought HARD to make life happen starting from nothing in the apartment and still the world is so cold (sic).
“He left the world with four beautiful children. We want to be strong in the face of evil to remember Hamid — father, husband, doctor and friend.”
Mirshojae remarried in 2022 and his wife and six-month-old baby were visiting Turkey at the time of the tragedy.
In 2017, Mirshojae sued Kelk and her fiance Allen Yadegar, accusing them of embezzling his money. After their 2010 divorce, the mother of his three adult children continued acting as office manager for his clinics and other businesses, the Daily Mail reported. The outcome of that suit was not clear.

After the baseball bat beatdown, staffers at his clinics told the Los Angeles Times that Mirshojae was frightened.
One staffer said: “They came and they beat him with baseball bats … They were some strangers that we didn’t know.”
On his Detox Woodland Hills website, the addictions doctor boasted he had more than 10 years of experience helping “thousands of patients achieve their goal of having a sober life. His patients include celebrities, movie stars, athletes and many people of different walks of life.”
Local media outlets reported that his devoted patients are devastated by the tragedy.
“He’s been full of love. He’s been full of care,” former patient Khedhar Quintero told KTLA. “He doesn’t care that you’re just another number in his lobby, he cares about your future as well.”
Quintero added: “He helped a lot of people with detox. Who knows what they could’ve been going through? He could’ve changed something in their life. He could’ve done something different that they didn’t like, and someone wanted him removed from this world, unfortunately.”
