The upcoming Pokémon Go season, Max Out, will bring new creatures from the Galar region and mark the return of the Go Battle League.
The Galar region Pokémon includes starter creatures from Pokémon Sword and Shield. Along with those additions, the event also features the introduction of Dynamax transformations, seasonal bonuses, and a lot more.
Pokémon Go Max Out season release date
Pokémon Go‘s Max Out season begins on September 3 and ends on December 3, 2024. Like previous seasons, it will run for three months, keeping its usual rotating schedule of rewards and creature spawns.

GO All Out
The GO All Out event is a part of the mobile game’s Max Out season, and it runs from September 3 to September 10, 2024, at 10 a.m. local time. As a trainer, you can choose between Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble (starter Pokémon from Sword and Shield) through new Special Research.

- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
GO Big
GO Big immediately follows the GO All Out event, bringing Dynamax Pokémon to the game. It will run from September 10 at 10 a.m. to September 15, 2024, at 8 p.m. local time.
It’s a temporary transformation form where creatures achieve great strength and size. The Dynamax form was introduced in Generation VIII. You will need to collect Max Particles for transformations, and Power Spots spawn all around the map the boost you along.

Yes, Niantic has confirmed there’s a chance of encountering a Shiny Pokémon in the Max Out event if you’re lucky enough.
GO Battle League returns with Max Out
GO Battle League starts on September 3, 2024, at 1 p.m. PDT, where you can battle it out in the Master Premier, Halloween Cup, Willpower Cup, Great League: Remix, and more.
At the beginning of the season, these things will happen:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.
