- Starseed: Asnia Trigger is Com2uS’ newest upcoming global release
- It features a cast of characters called Proxyans going up against a looming global threat known as the Redshift
- The release date hasn’t yet been revealed
Developer Com2uS has opened pre-registration for their newest global launch, Starseed: Asnia Trigger. Featuring a wide cast of characters called Proxyans, you’ll have to dive into a virtual world to guide them in defeating a looming threat known only as the Redshift. After a successful launch in South Korea back in March, it’s headed towards a global release sometime soon.
Pre-registration for Starseed makes you eligible for some enticing rewards, such as Starbits and SSR Proxyan/Plugin Select Tickets for seven days after the global launch. You’ll also be able to snap up New User Support Packs and get entered into some exciting giveaways.
Outside of that, well, so far all we know about Starseed is what’s being promoted. Some interesting aspects include the ability to follow Proxyans on an in-game social media platform, which seems like an expansion of the relationship-building aspects in a lot of other games.
Waifu wars
Now I don’t want to be the cynic but I definitely do see the usual anime-esque hallmarks of Starseed. Not judging either way, but when I read “a diverse roster of Proxyans with lifelike proportions,” as a selling point, it definitely does encourage a raised eyebrow at the very least.
However, that being said if you’re a fan of the run ‘n’ gun gameplay of titles like Blue Archive, Starseed may scratch that itch. And the cel-shaded graphics aren’t half-bad either, which is always a bit finicky to pull off.
