Ben Donaldson converted from right in front of the posts after the Argentinian forwards conceded a penalty at the breakdown.
Jake Gordon and Rob Valetini both scored tries for the Wallabies in atrocious conditions, but were still behind thanks to Juan Martín González’s opener and the boot of Santiago Carreras.
Noah Lolesio’s penalty put the Wallabies in front for the first time on the hour mark, but the Argentinians hit back through Tomás Albornoz.
The Wallabies set up a grand finale by winning turnovers on their own line and marching up field thanks to a Lolesio break, before referee James Doleman called a penalty for Donaldson to convert.
More to come.
