The full nominations for this year’s Abbey Road Music Photography awards have been unveiled.
The Abbey Road Music Photography awards aim to platform behind-the-lens talent, showcasing some of the visual artists who help bring music photography to life. Growing each year, many of the categories are fully open – meaning that over 22,000 images from 28 countries were entered this year, an increase of over 40% from 2023.
The full list of nominations was unveiled overnight, with MPAs lead judge Rankin commenting…
“This was undoubtedly my favourite moment of the summer. It’s such a thrill and an honour to be part of this competition, and to get to see the incredible entries which just keep getting better. Thank you so much to the fantastic panel of judges, the brilliant entries (22,000 this year) and of course everyone at Abbey Road.”
The categories move from live photography to portraiture, and we’re glad to say there’s a nod to CLASH in there: our wonderful King Krule cover – shot by James Robjant in collaboration with Patrick Waugh, is nominated in the Editorial category.
