- Upcoming ARPG Tribe Nine has unveiled the results of its Deadly Playtest
- It includes a whole bunch of numbers and statistics, for those invested
- But it also mentions some negative feedback, that the devs hope to address ahead of launch
Upcoming ARPG Tribe Nine has unveiled a bevvy of player feedback and developer responses to their inaugural Deadly Playtest in a new letter. It reveals what players liked, didn’t like, and what they felt could be improved upon in the upcoming title; which is being created by some of the key figures behind the Danganronpa series.
There are a lot of big numbers to break down, but most of what’s included in the dev letter mainly relates to win rates, team composition and whatnot. Interesting for the number crunchers amongst us, but what I noted was the inclusion of some negative feedback which criticised the pacing of the game, the lack of difficulty and the lack of satisfaction with the central extreme baseball mechanic.
Now, I should clarify that none of this is particularly magnanimous, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t the most negative feedback the game has had. But even now it’s somewhat refreshing to see a game address it. Whether or not they manage to address it in time for launch is another matter entirely, of course.
Swing batter batter
Tribe Nine stands out for me amongst a wide sea of more derivative titles because of how clearly it stands out. While some of you may have grown weary of Danganronpa and its aesthetic that’s being carried over here, you have to admit it’s at least refreshing compared to the art of some of the other games on mobile currently. Especially those surreptitiously embracing that old chestnut of AI.
