Re: Saving face far too late; Facebook suddenly ready to ‘push back’ against pressure to censor, Brian Lilley column, Aug. 28
Shame on Mark Zuckerberg for taking four long years to admit he was pressured by the Biden administration to censor valid free speech.
This censorship included anything not going along with the administration’s views on COVID — even jokes! Zuckerberg also suppressed the story from the New York Post about the Hunter Biden laptop revelations about the Biden family’s shady dealings. That move undoubtedly helped Joe Biden win.
Zuckerberg only now is admitting that allowing the Biden administration to influence him was wrong.
Thank goodness for Elon Musk taking over Twitter (X) and turning that social media outlet into a forum for free speech.

Even more egregious is that this Zuckerberg censorship was orchestrated by the Democrats, who call Trump a serious threat to democracy.

THEY PROMISE, WE PAY
This time around, I am undecided if I will even vote. Why would I spend my time and gas to vote to give someone a job that does nothing for me but make my life unliveable?
They all make promises that they never keep just to get your vote. Now some of us pay taxes through the nose, bills keep going up and food is totally unaffordable. I have to eat certain foods for my health and I cannot afford it, and I am sure most Canadians are in the same boat.
Everything goes up except our salaries, but, hey, Trudeau can afford lavish vacations and meals with our money so it’s all good, right?

IF TRUDEAU WALKED …
Most Canadians want Trudeau gone, but it remains to be seen if he’ll voluntarily leave like his father did or wait for voters to crush him and the entire Liberal party in the process. Now there is a group of power-craving individuals waiting to potentially run for the Liberal leadership that includes Freeland, Carney, Anand, Champagne, Joly and LeBlanc, none of which I trust and none of which I’d vote for.
I would trust the integrity of two people if they ever ran for prime minister as a Liberal candidate, two who I would seriously listen to and strongly consider voting for in an election.
Their names are Dr. Jane Philpott and Jody Wilson-Raybould.
