Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah have been happily married for 11 years and are together since 18 years now. Over the years, their relationship has grown stronger despite doubts from people about whether their love would last. The couple has often shared how their bond, which began in an unexpected way, turned into a beautiful friendship and eventually marriage.
Recently, Kashmera celebrated their 18 years together by posting an emotional message on social media, reflecting on their journey. In a recent interview, Krushna Abhishek opened up about how their love story began in an unusual way. He recalled their first meeting on a film set in Jaipur, where they instantly became friends. Krushna admitted that their relationship wasn’t serious in the beginning and that it started with a casual dinner at Kashmera’s hotel room and then a one-night stand. Krushna joked about how that dinner turned into much more, saying he never left her side after that.
While talking to ETimes entertainment news portal, The Great Indian Kapil Show star shared, “Kash was a hot, sexy, and popular actress working with Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Shroff. I was a newcomer then. The age difference was not important. I connected with her and enjoyed flaunting her as my girlfriend, saying, ‘Dekho main Kashmera Shah ko date kar raha hoon’.”
Krushna Abhishek further revealed that initially, they were not serious and travelled and had a good time for many years. They never had marriage on their mind and thought in a few months, their relationship would end. “But I was always happy around Kashmera. We are each other’s best friends. People often joke about how Krushna likes two things: Kash and cash!” he joked.

Kashmera Shah joined Krushna during the interview and added that many people believed she would leave him for a wealthier man because of their age difference. However, she always considered herself independent and wasn’t looking for anyone to take care of her financially. “Secondly, I was never looked at as the girl next door; I was perceived as hot and sexy, and society often considers women like me as someone you can date but not marry. People assumed we were just having fun together and it would not last long,” revealed the actress.
