Wolfhook in Genshin Impact is used to ascend Mondstadt’s resident wolf boy Razor and the adorable Mika. This material can be collected in one specific location within Teyvat. Here’s where you can find it.
Wolfhook Genshin Impact location
Southwest of the main Mondstadt town across the water, you’ll find Wolvendom. This is where you’ll find Wolfhooks growing within the wilderness. Unfortunately, it’s one of the most annoyingly hidden. They grow within thick bushes that make these small purple fruits so hard to find. Keep following up the path throughout Wolvendom until you reach Lupus Boreas, Dominator of Wolves.
Keep running into the bushes and frantically press the grab button to get the Wolfhooks you require. There are usually two in each bush. It can be a pain, but once you get higher up the hill, they typically sprout more often.
You can also buy 5 Wolfhook from Chloris, a seller that walks around the paths of Windrise. They become available every three days. A couple more can be spotted, strangely, in Fontaine. In the mountainous range northwest of Loch Urania and east of the Experimental Field Generator, you’ll find a broken cart with a few Wolfhook hanging around it.
How much Wolfhook do you need to ascend Razor?
To ascend Razor to his highest level, you’ll need a total of 168 Wolfhook. According to the Genshin Interactive Map from Appsample, only 35 Wolfhooks can be picked up once, so it will be a longer process than usual. In comparison, 73 Sprayfeather Gills can be found in the region of Natlan. MiHoYo needs to add another Wolfhook spawning area in Teyvat and fast!
You’ll also need the following to ascend Razor:
- 420,000 Mora
- 46 Lightning Prism
- 1 Vajrada Amethyst Sliver
- 9 Vajrada Amethyst Fragments
- 6 Vajrada Amethyst Gemstones
- 9 Vajrada Amethyst Chunks
- 30 Stained Masks
- 18 Damaged Masks
- 36 Ominous Masks
These masks are dropped by defeating hilichurls throughout Mondstadt. You can also craft higher-level masks like the Ominous Masks to make the process easier. You can get the Lightning Prism by beating up the Electro Hypostasis. The Vajrada materials can be gathered from a bunch of bosses, including the Coral Defenders, Electro Hypostasis (again), and Electro Regisvine.
