2. Abbamania and Night Fever
Described as “incredible” by Rolling Stone Magazine, the all-Canadian show transports audiences back to the 1970s with tributes to Abba and the Bee Gees on Saturday night at the Casino Regina Show Lounge.
Abbamania is self-proclaimed as the world’s No. 1 production of Abba, featuring hits from the legendary Swedish pop group such as Waterloo, S.O.S and Dancing Queen.
Night Fever presents classic Bee Gees’ songs like Jive Talking, Too Love Somebody, Stayin’ Alive, and You Should Be Dancing.
“With amazing vocals, look, sound and authentic costumes, you will believe you are actually watching the original Abba,” says Casino Regina’s website. “Abbamania and Night Fever have been performing for the past 16 years with over 200 concerts a year. Go back in time when Abba and The Bee Gees ruled the pop music world.”

4. Strings attached
The Regina Musical Club is presenting a special performance by the VC2 Cello Duo on Sunday afternoon (3 p.m.) at Darke Hall.
VC2 is comprised of Toronto-based cellists Amahl Arulanandam and Bryan Holt. They’re to be joined by violinist Amy Hillis for a program that “celebrates chamber music for strings by featuring music by composers audiences may already know like Bach, Haydn and Beethoven who set the basis for string chamber music,” says a media release.
“Alongside these historical masters, the concert also presents trio, duo and solo works by master composers of today like Andrew Staniland and Dinuk Wijeratne who are taking chamber music for string instruments in new, exciting directions based in our own language, reflecting current perspectives.”
