Chelsea Lazkani unfortunately finds herself front and center in the explosive new season of hit Netflix show Selling Sunset, as her husband’s alleged infidelity ends up being one of the series’ main storylines.
Fans got a glimpse of what was to come when a teaser trailer for season eight dropped last month and showed Chelsea, 31, breaking down in tears after a woman named Amanda Lynn – who has recently been accused of posting racist tweets – told Bre Tiesi that she heard ‘something about Chelsea’s husband.’
What transpired in the new episodes is that a friend of Amanda’s apparently saw Jeff Lazkani ‘making out’ with a mystery woman around Christmas time, and Bre, 33, decided to break the news to Chelsea in an emotional scene filmed in Los Angeles restaurant ADKT for episode five.
But while the new season doesn’t share much information about Chelsea and Jeff’s actual breakup, Selling Sunset fans were already aware that they had split because the British-Nigerian real estate agent filed for divorce earlier this year.
It was reported on March 27 that Chelsea had filed as TMZ claimed that legal documents cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the official reason for their split.

Chelsea and Jeff, who met on Tinder back in 2015, share three-year-old daughter Melia, and five-year-old son Maddox, and it was reported that the TV star had sought ‘joint physical and legal custody’ of their children.
Additionally, Chelsea asked for spousal support from the 41-year-old California native, but did not terminate Jeff’s ability to request alimony himself.
TMZ pointed out that nowhere in her filing was a prenup mentioned, but stated: ‘Chelsea is saying that their division of assets needs to be determined in court.’
Chelsea did not provide a date of separation and swiftly removed nearly every trace of Jeff from her Instagram page, where she currently has 702,000 followers.
Just one week after Chelsea filed for divorce, Jeff responded and accused her of being ‘physically aggressive,’ with his lawyer noting that he also wanted a divorce and was citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason.
In a written declaration Jeff, who is a managing partner at Icon Media Direct, accused the reality star of being ‘physically aggressive,’ and claimed it happened before and after she filed for divorce, following seven years of marriage.
Jeff also alleged that Chelsea ‘struck’ him ‘in the face in an aggressive manner, breaking his glasses and causing a small cut on the side of his face.’
He also claimed that in order to maintain the wellbeing of their two children, they both should not live at their five-bedroom Manhattan Beach home, which Jeff said he is the primary owner of.

Jeff went on to allege that Chelsea, who he said was not named on the mortgage, ‘installed a lock on the primary bedroom to’ his ‘exclusion, remotely monitors his access to the property, and records him at the property.’
The property was purchased for $2.9 million in 2018 and Jeff asked for ‘exclusive use and possession’ of the home and alleged that Chelsea ‘provokes’ him and ‘records him in an attempt to catch him overreacting to her.’
He also accused Chelsea of ‘exhibiting suspicious behavior,’ and claimed a number of his ‘personal belongings’ had disappeared or were taken from their home after Chelsea filed for divorce.
Among the missing items, he claimed, was a scarf he received from a late matriarch in his family, his father’s hat, and a spare key to his car.
He claimed Chelsea confessed to moving his Rolex after he asked her where it was, and said she ‘has also been sneaking around the property and attempted’ to go into his room ‘when she thought he was not home.’
At the time, he requested that Chelsea have 48 hours to get her belongings from the property, and that she not be allowed inside for more than two hours.
He also wanted ‘a neutral party’ present to assist them in dividing the items they might not agree on.
It’s unclear whether or not Chelsea and Jeff’s divorce has been finalized, but season eight ended with her removing her wedding ring as she told the camera: ‘I think this needs to come off.

‘The foundation I built in Manhattan Beach is something I thought I would be building for years to come. I would have fought to the very end for my marriage,’ she added.
The mother-of-two was also seen on the phone to her costar Emma, after viewing a property in Studio City, as she admitted: ‘I haven’t really wrapped my head around what the next couple months, let alone the next couple of years, would look like for me.
‘But something about being in this house just screams new beginnings for me and I’m kind of not closing my mind to it like I was before, I’m just embracing it,’ Chelsea added, hinting that she may be ready to move on.
Selling Sunset seasons 1-8 are available to stream on Netflix now.
