The recently installed sign greeting drivers emerging from the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel in downtown Windsor will aid visitors.
However, the “Tourist Information” (a.k.a. Ontario Travel Information Centre — Windsor) building at Park and Goyeau Streets is closed more than it’s open.
It was closed through the 2023-24 winter season until mid-May. During the height of this past tourist season, it was open only Tuesday to Thursday. Beginning Labour Day, it will be closed until mid-May 2025.
That helpful centre, with public washrooms and visitor information, should welcome travellers daily, especially on weekends.
