It’s the time of the year when about a week is left before you can enjoy EA FC 25 on your preferred platform.
There are plenty of changes coming to this year’s title, and EA Sports has showcased many of those as part of the deep dives. If the developers follow the same routine they have followed over the last couple of years, you’ll be able to pre-download the files before the early access begins on September 20. In fact, let’s take a look at the file sizes and how much storage space will be consumed by the football simulator.
EA FC 25 Xbox file size
Typically, the first platform where you can pre-download is Xbox. This is no different this year, with the Xbox One version having a file size of 43.10 GB. This is a similar number to EA FC 24, and you can download your copy if you are on that platform.
The current-gen version is bigger and will require 48.10 GB of download. It also has loads of extra features, like HyperMotion, which has a telling impact on the gameplay.
EA FC 25 PC file size
Yes, the pre-load option for PC players is also up. You’ll need to install the EA app (this is also mandatory for playing the game). The pre-load file size for PC is the same as that on Xbox Series X|S. You’ll need to keep at least 48.10 GB free on the drive you want to install the game on. Unlike consoles, there’s no way to play the old-gen version on PC.
EA FC 25 PlayStation file size
Typically, the pre-load on PlayStation tends to happen before the early access goes live. This year, early access begins on September 20, and I expect the pre-load to be available on September 19. This date isn’t confirmed by EA Sports, and it’s just my assumption based on the occurrences of the last couple of years.
Since the current-gen versions have 48.10 GB of file size on both Xbox Series X|S and PC, it’s best to expect something similar for your PS5. If you’re on the PS4, keep at least 44 GB of storage space free for the pre-load to take place when it becomes available.
We will update the exact size for PlayStation consoles when we have an official file size.
