- Going Up, the elevator puzzler we covered on iOS, is coming to Android
- Explore a mysterious tower as you build elevator routes to ferry your passengers safely
- Solve fiendish puzzles to maximise passenger satisfaction and avoid traffic jams
Those of you with a moderately long-term memory may remember a few weeks ago when we covered an innovative new puzzler called Going Up. Developed by the one-man team of Dylan Kwok, it sees you attempting to puzzle your way through a mysterious tower, setting up elevators in order to ferry passengers from one floor to another.
As I wrote at the time, it seems to be following a trend of puzzlers taking mundane concepts (like, you know, elevator management) and elevating them (pun intended) to new heights. We gave it a brief, but glowing, write-up in our list of the top five new mobile games for the week it debuted.
And yes, now those of you on Samsung or other devices can finally give Going Up a go as the game makes the jump to Android. Releasing tomorrow, assuming it goes for the same amount as on iOS you’ll be able to give this atmospheric puzzler a go for only $1.99.
Straight to the top
Personally speaking as an Android player one of the things that frustrates me about mobile is staggered releases. It’s a shame because, as they say, you only get one chance to make a first impression and with the rapidity of releases it means that even if you spot a game you like, by the time it reaches your preferred platform you’ve often forgotten about it. Here’s hoping then that Going Up will find some eager new players on Android.
But if you’re looking for other top games and don’t know where to start, why not check in on the latest entry in our regular feature of the top five new mobile games to try this week?
And if that’s not enough you could always dig into our other list of the best mobile games of 2024 (so far)!
