Idaho students from first through 12th grades are invited to take part in a Veterans Day essay contest sponsored by the Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho.
The competition invites Idaho students to dive deep into the stories of the men and women in their families who have served or are serving in the armed forces and reflect on what their service means to them.
Students from across Idaho are encouraged to participate in one of three age categories, and winners will receive the prize money listed: first through sixth grades ($250), seventh through ninth grades ($500) and 10th through 12th grades ($750).
Winners will be invited to present a portion of their essays at the 12th annual Farm Bureau Salute to Idaho Veterans event, set for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at Farm Bureau’s home office in Pocatello.
Entry forms are available from local Farm Bureau Insurance agents or online at www.idahofarmbureauinsurance.com/news/annual-veterans-day-essay-contest/.
