Unhappy Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was spotted not directly walking to the locker room after his team’s surprising defeat to the Washington Commanders on Monday night.
Instead, Burrow walked with Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor down a separate hallway that apparently leads to the coaches’ offices. Neither looked happy when going out of sight.
The typical move was for Burrow, like every other Bengal, to make his way to the locker room. That was not the case after Cincinnati fell to 0-3, despite starting the season with high expectations.
Monday seemed to be the Bengals’ chance to right the wrongs of their first two defeats of the season, an upset by the Patriots and a last-second loss to the Chiefs.
The Commanders did not score a touchdown against the Giants and won one week after getting blown out by the Buccaneers. Washington’s role of being ripe for the picking never played out that way.
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have shockingly started the NFL season without a win

The 38-33 final score highlights Burrow’s role not as the team scapegoat, as the Commanders had six full drives, all of which ended in points, with only one not ending in a Washington touchdown.
Burrow threw 29 completions on 38 attempts for 324 yards ands three touchdowns without an interception.
His quarterback counterpart, Jayden Daniels, announced his arrival as an NFL star, going 21-for-23 from the field for 254 yards and three total touchdowns.
Only six NFL teams have made the postseason after starting a season 0-3 in NFL history. It has happened only once since 1998 in the 2018 Texans, who only lost two more games the rest of the year before the postseason.
The 1992 San Diego Chargers are the only team to start a season 0-4 to make the playoffs.
The Bengals travel to the upstart Carolina Panthers on Sunday to try and avoid the four-game losing streak.
