DEAR MR. PM …
Dear Prime Minister Trudeau:

Here are a few good reasons to call an election right now:
1. NDP leader Jagmeet Singh tore up your supply and confidence agreement. You can prevent him from getting his federal pension.
2. You show you are not afraid to face Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives in an election now.
3. You keep Yves-François Blanchet from keeping Canadians hostage to the whims of the Bloc Québécois.
4. It shows you are truly a leader.
Pay a visit to the Governor General now.

OUR DYSFUNCTIONAL DEMOCRACY
Directly after the Montreal byelection victory, the Bloc Québécois said it is not interested in bringing down the Trudeau government in a non-confidence motion. It claims to be much more interested in working with Trudeau to extract more goodies for Quebec.

Canada is becoming a dysfunctional democracy.
Jagmeet Singh, who wanted his long-sought-after dental and pharmacare priorities adopted, formed a socialist association with Trudeau. Once those priorities were accomplished, Singh quickly ended their bromance (although the NDP has since indicated it will still back the Liberals in a non-confidence vote).
Now we have Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet, whose party’s sole raison d’être is separation from Canada, being willing to keep Trudeau, who is well on is way to bankrupting Canada, in power solely to get Quebec some more largesse.
Let’s hope next election all three of these selfish leaders are severely punished by voters. This country deserves much better leadership.

OTTAWA
TIME FOR GOVERNMENT TO WAKE UP
Re: Grits ignoring what voters telling them, editorial, Sept. 18
This is 100 per cent true. The reason for that is the Liberals think Canadians are incapable of deciding what’s best for them whereas apparently only the Liberals are. It’s time for the government to wake up to the fact that Canadians don’t want anything to do with Trudeau’s vision of Canada going forward. We don’t want anything to do with globalism or digital IDs or currencies. We also don’t want anything more to do with the World Economic Forum, the UN or the World Health Organization. These are unelected people who are under the delusion, as is Trudeau, that they have the right to rule the world.
