Saskatoon police arrested four people after an attempted traffic stop turned into a chase through the city’s west side and out of town.
Around 12:05 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue I South, officers tried to stop a vehicle with a licence plate that didn’t match, police said in a news release on Friday. It sped away.
Officers successfully set out a tire deflation device at 22nd Street and Dalmeny Road, but the vehicle didn’t stop, continuing west on Highway 14.

“The vehicle eventually came to a stop and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted,” the release said.
The four occupants were arrested.
A 22-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman are charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
The 21-year-old is also charged with dangerous driving and evading police.
