- New gameplay trailer showcasing combat mechanics
- Fina is the new character with the ability to create imaginary creatures
- Pre-registrations open on the official website
There has been quite some anticipation about Duet Night Abyss, Hero Entertainment and Pan Studio’s fantasy adventure RPG. Despite that, beyondpre-registrations being available since October 2023, followed by a technical test in March, there hasn’t been much news about the title. Now, we finally have some gameplay footage thanks to the 2024 Tokyo Game Show.
During this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Duet Night Abyss showcased a brand new gameplay trailer alongside a bunch of new content. The RPG had its own booth where they hosted a special program for fans. The event will run until September 29th if you’re in Tokyo and want to visit.
As for the gameplay trailer itself, you can see all the progress made in development. There are new combat mechanics to explore and more faces to see in addition to the familiar ones you saw in the previous technical test. One of the new characters to look out for is Fina, a powerful fairy tale writer.
Fina is seen taking part in a deadly boss battle which demonstrates her powerful fighting style. She uses a creativity to defeat foes and she’s able to summon imaginary creatures that aid her in combat. These beasts are all distinctive as they come with their own abilities and allow teammates in the vicinity to deal extra elemental damage.
In case you missed it, Duet Night Abyss also held a special program a few days ago, features some of the Japanese voice actors who brought this game to life. There’s also some commentary form the producer and art director, giving you a deeper insight into what’s been going on behind the scenes.
That’s it until the next bit of news comes in. We’re still to hear about an official release date, but until then, you can pre-register for Duet Night Abyss by visiting the official website.
