A driver is facing impaired driving charges after a collision with another vehicle in the Municipality of Lakeshore left three people injured, OPP officials report.
Officers from the OPP Lakeshore detachment responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Puce Road, between Walls Road and Highway 401, around 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 27. Members of Lakeshore Fire Rescue and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were also dispatched to the scene.

Officers discovered two vehicles: a pickup truck with a single driver and a sedan carrying two passengers.
The OPP said that all three individuals were transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
A 32-year-old Lakeshore resident faces charges of operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, along with exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit of 80-plus.
Officers also issued a 90-day driver’s license suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment.
The suspect has been released from custody and is set to appear this year in the Ontario Court of Justice in downtown Windsor on Oct. 18.

In a separate incident, officers from the OPP Lakeshore detachment charged a 29-year-old Windsor resident with impaired driving after a traffic stop around 12:45 a.m. on Sept 28.
The driver was stopped on Manning Road near Amy Croft Drive and faces additional charges of failing to drive without proper rear light and driving with an open container of liquor.
The suspect will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Oct. 9.
