Premier Doug Ford’s distasteful joke about sending patients waiting for an MRI or CT scan to a new animal hospital — sad to say is a reality in Ontario due to a shortage of machines.
However, due to Ford’s position as Ontario premier, he’ll definitely receive special hospital treatment, if needed, while a good friend of mine has waited over eight months for an MRI to diagnose a painful back problem.
It’s not a joke, Doug Ford, when you spend millions putting alcohol in convenience stores but short-change our hospitals’ budgets and Ontario’s health care system.
