Jason Kelce is already a legend with the Philadelphia Eagles, but now he’s making waves with his off-the-field style as he starts his new gig as an analyst.
After Jason, 36, appeared on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown on September 30, wearing a unique look that included jeans, a plaid jacket, and untied boots, fans couldn’t help but comment on his attire. Some even compared him to children’s cartoon character, Bob the Builder.
“Can we fix it?” said one fan on X (formerly Twitter), referring to the character’s popular call and answer tagline, “Can we fix it? Yes we can!” Another fan noted, “bronx waist down and upper west side waist up,” along with a repost of a photo of Jason on the show.
A third fan reposted another pic of the athlete during the show wearing a straw hat and sunglasses along with the iconic outfit, affectionately saying, “Jason Kelce is one of a kind.”
Jason joined the pregame show after his retirement from the NFL back in March 2024. The news was announced just two months after he hung up his cleats for the last time in February. Although Jason chose to join ESPN, several other networks, including NBC and CBS, were reportedly eager to secure his expertise as well.
The former Eagle’s center recently went viral for his reaction to brother Travis Kelce‘s FX show, Grotesquerie. The show, created by Ryan Murphy, centers around a detective, played by Niecy Nash, who teams up with a local nun to unravel a series of horrific crimes in their community by a killer.
In the series’ debut episode, viewers witness a shocking scene where a baby is boiled by Travis’s assumed character (the mysterious killer), prompting Jason to share his thoughts on X. “If Travis boiled a baby, I’m gonna be real p***** #Grotesquerie,” Jason quipped, suggesting that he might portray the murderer.
“cut him some slack, you should have expected he was a killa,” replied one fan, referring to his Instagram handle, @killatrav. Another noted “Real weird tweet until I found out what Grotesquerie was 😂.”
