Shoppers looking for something a little different, local and handcrafted can now browse a weekly rotation of pop-up businesses being featured at Devonshire Mall.
A dedicated kiosk located in the south end of the mall will showcase a different one of six Windsor-Essex small vendors each week from now until November 10.
“The month of October is a celebration of small businesses and this year the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Centre is launching a new campaign to showcase Windsor-Essex makers and educate the public on the importance of shopping local,” said Sabrina DeMarco, the centre’s executive director.

This initiative is a spinoff of SBEC’s signature W.E. Shop Local Show as a continued effort to promote and support local businesses.
Vendors will sell a variety of products, including handmade homewares, jewelry, apparel, flowers and retail food products.
There is no cost to businesses to participate in the W.E. Shop Local Pop-Up.
Shoppers can find the featured local businesses on the following dates:

Oct. 14 – 20 — Corporal4Life Apparel
Oct. 21 – 27 — Montañeros Coffee
Oct. 28 – Nov. 3 — Ruscom Maple Products
Nov. 4 – 10 — The Little Petal Truck
“Empowering and supporting small businesses is essential to a thriving economy,” said Joe Goncalves, Invest WindsorEssex interim CEO and vice-president of Investment Attraction and Strategic Initiatives.
“Buying locally boosts economic growth by creating jobs, sustaining entrepreneurship, and keeping money within the community,” Goncalves said.
