GARBAGE PROBLEM PILING UP
Article content
We purchased our home in 1987, and at the time all the talk was about a new landfill or incineration. That was 37 years ago, and still nothing has been done. What happens when the garbage limit next goes to two bags, one bag or no bags?
This is a core service for health and safety reasons. It is even more important than an LRT with square wheels or libraries that no one uses where the politicians pound their chests, yelling, “Look what we did.”
We should be questioning what they did not do.

MESSAGE TO GOVERNMENT
It’s time to budget according to needs, not special interests. Housing, medical, education, infrastructure and food. I know it isn’t this simple, or is it?
I love everyone who says, “Look at the cheque I got from the government.” Where do you think the government got it besides borrowing it?

I am begging whichever government gets in: Use common sense and get back to ensuring Canadians have the basics, and quit spending like there is no tomorrow because, if you don’t, there may not be one.

WAKEUP CALL FOR MEDIA
Re: LILLEY: Entire media industry hurt by CTV hit job on Poilievre, online, Sept. 27
There is an increasing lack of trust in the legacy media, with more and more Canadians turning to social media outlets for their news. Many remember how Justin Trudeau gave media outlets $600 million. Even the most naïve Canadian can see the problem: It can obviously be viewed as a government shelling out millions for favourable reporting.
Because of its blatant biased reporting, the CBC continues losing followers. After this serious incident whereby CTV purposely and falsely misrepresented Pierre Poilievre, that outlet will also come under close scrutiny. Far too many media outlets see their job as defending the Trudeau government rather than reporting facts honestly.
I give the Sun papers full marks for trying to do objective reporting, thereby providing more balanced reporting.
