Free Palestine Melbourne organisers have said the rally will mark 52 weeks of sustained protests in Melbourne.
Organiser Nasser Mashni said protesters had been “consistent and steadfast” in calling for a liberated Palestine.
“Be it rallying through the streets of the CBD, organising local coordinated actions or education forums, freedom for the Palestinian people has been and will continue to be at the forefront of everything we do,” he explained in a statement.
He said the group was more determined than ever, and would show up week after week, “rain, hail or shine”.
“We welcome Melburnians of good conscience to join our rally 52nd rally and march … each of our events have been peaceful, and we ask that anyone who wishes to join us, to do so, in the spirit of our previous protests, peacefully and legally,” Mashni said.
Speakers at the rally will include Jewish Council of Australia’s Ohad Kozminsky, Islamic Council of Victoria president Adel Salman, independent senator Lidia Thorpe and Richmond Greens MP Gabrielle de Vietri.
