Re: Kris Kristofferson, singer-songwriter and actor, dies at 88, online, Sept. 29
When a singer from my generation dies, it makes me want to head down to the basement and find the album. But that is pointless today as I no longer have a turntable.
Anyway, Kris Kristofferson’s Help Me Make It Through the Night, with the Highwaymen, it doesn’t get any better than that. Makes you want to get up and dance in the kitchen. Play it. You’ll see.
To finish up, every generation has its own music. But “my generation” (who sang it?), contrary to what my children and grandchildren think, will go down in history as having the best.

Our government gophers are going underground!
A “utility tunnel” for staff, services and supplies is planned for their “Parliamentary Precinct” redevelopment.
How appropriate for our undemocratic government that has become more surreptitious and secretive thanks to its Commons supporters.
Let them hide from the media as they scuttle out of sight and scrutiny.
In honour of this hidden Passage to Parliament, let’s make Groundhog Day a federal holiday.
Viva Marmota monax (groundhog)!
Oh, heck, that’s in February. Our honourable members will probably be hibernating (again/still).

WHAT ABOUT A SLUSH FUND BRIEFING?
So the Liberals want to brief Jagmeet Singh on how great the carbon tax is for fighting climate change. What an absolute joke.

When are Canadians going to get answers regarding what I believe is the Liberals’ biggest scandal so far? I’m talking about the green slush fund. The Liberals are trying to cover up by redacting documents that should be public knowledge.
Canadian taxpayers having every right to know exactly where our money goes.

TWO TIMES TWO EQUALS FOUR
There are four faces in Canadian politics that I dislike. Jagmeet Singh has two of them and Yves-François Blanchet has the other two.
