Lawyers are still waiting for disclosure in the case of a Saskatchewan woman accused of killing her husband.
Several people were in Saskatoon provincial court on Tuesday for the appearance of Lauren Besse. The 35-year-old is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Danny Magowan, 42.
Appearing on Besse’s behalf, defence lawyer Nicholas Stooshinoff said they are currently in a kind of “no man’s land.”

Crown prosecutor Aaron Martens said the Crown expects a large amount of disclosure — evidence and information relevant to the prosecution’s case — to be ready by the end of the month. The case was adjourned to Nov. 5.
Besse remains in custody.
She was arrested on Aug. 23 after RCMP said a 42-year-old man was found dead in a home in the RM of Corman Park, the rural municipality surrounding Saskatoon, around 7 a.m.
Court information shows the deceased was her husband. According to Facebook, the couple had just celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary in June.
Magowan’s obituary stated that memorial donations will go toward raising awareness for mental health, with a specific focus on men’s mental health.
