Eagle-eyed fans think they may have spotted Jacqueline Wilson in the audience at Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
Jacqueline Wilson, the author of children’s books including The Story of Tracey Beaker, Dustbin Baby, and Girls In Love, made a surprising appearance last night on Strictly.
The novelist, 78, is known for having cropped white hair and could be seen sitting behind Craig Revel-Horwood during the competition.
At one point when Craig was giving his judgement on a dance, the author could be seen rather clearly – and fans could not believe their eyes.
‘Am i going insane or is that jacqueline wilson behind craig #strictly,’ Flickersuggs commented on X.

‘I thought I was seeing things! Is that really Jacqueline Wilson #Strictly#StrictlyComeDancing#STRICTLYAMAPIANO,’ Umair_Ghulam_M said.
‘90% sure Jacqueline Wilson is sitting behind Craig in the audience? #Strictly,’ said Shawthorne3.
‘Jacqueline Wilson in the #Strictly audience is my roman empire, what an icon,’ said PoetGeorgie.
The author’s presence wasn’t mentioned on the show and it appears she was making an incognito appearance, simply as an audience member.
It has previously been confirmed that Jacqueline is a fan and just a few weeks ago she shared a post, dancing with Anton Du Beke.
A post shared on her social media read: ‘Are you enjoying this season’s Strictly?
‘Jacky, author of Star of the Show, is a big fan! Check out her own lesson on how to dance the Foxtrot from Strictly Come Dancing judge
‘@TheAntonDuBeke during an event for his debut children’s book Code Name Foxtrot.’
Jacqueline is best known as a children’s author but for some of her loyal readers who fell in love with her Girls in Love series in the noughties, they are in for a treat as adults.
In September the author released a novel titled Think Again, a sequel for the older generation who want to see where Ellie, Magda and Nadine are as adults.
Last month, the singer also revealed her ‘delight’ at being hailed as a gay icon four years after coming out.
