She is now set to feature in Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s movie Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
Mallika Sherawat who became famous overnight with her film Murder with Emraan Hashmi took a break from Bollywood and is now returning with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. As the film’s release is approaching, the actress is on her toes creating buzz for the film. She paid a visit to Bigg Boss 18 house and is busy giving out several interviews. She is ruling the headlines in entertainment news as she is talking about the dark and ugly side of the film industry and much. From being slut-shamed to more, Mallika Sherawat isn’t holding herself back from sharing her views on the film industry. In one of the interviews, she spoke about her experience in the South cinema.
In an interview with Hautterfly, Mallik spoke about how women’s sexuality us used to sell products. Even in the films. She shared an incident that took place while she was filming a song for a South film. The actress shared that the filmmaker wanted to show the hero cooking rotis on her waist. It was to signify her hotness. She said, “To showcase my hotness, they suggested rotis would be cooked on my waist. Of course, I declined, but yeah, that is the mindset.” The actress further spoke about regressive mindset and the time when her effigies were burnt. “We don’t mind erotica for the box-office. You watch my films, and abuse me too,” she said.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video released in theatres on October 11. The movie is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa.
