The St. Clair Saints softball team was back on the podium Sunday.
Shaking off a heartbreaking loss in the semis, the Saints rebounded to take the bronze medal at the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association Championship in Carp.
St. Clair went 3-0 in pool in the eight-team tournament with a 10-3 win over Western, a 6-4 win over Calgary and an 8-6 win over Humber.

However, the Saints fell in a rematch to Humber in the semis by a 7-5 count before rebounding for an 11-1 mercy win over Western in four innings to secure the bronze medal.
Pitcher Danna Juarez allowed just one run and three hits in picking up the win while Judy Lafleur and Shae-Lyn Murphy each had three hits and drove in a run in the game.
Admirals work overtime
Rory Sanderson got the overtime winner as the Amherstburg Admirals edged the Blenheim Blades 2-1 on Saturday in Bill Stobbs Division play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Darby Drouillard also scored for the Admirals (4-5-1-0) while goalie Dominic De Zorzi made 31 saves against the Blades (2-3-2-0).
Meanwhile, Josh Chauvin scored twice to pace the Wheatley Sharks to a 4-2 win over the Mooretown Flags.
The Sharks (7-4-0-0) also got single goals from Kyle Bleau and Jaxon Turnbull against the Flags (5-3-1-1).
Lancer men’s hockey
The Windsor Lancers scored the game’s first three goals and held on for a 4-2 win over the RMC Paladins in OUA men’s hockey on Saturday.
Keegan McMullen, Dylan Schives, Kirk Mullen and Brady Hinz scored for the Lancers (2-2-0-0) while goalie Max Donoso made 11 saves against the Paladins (1-3-0-0).

Lancer women’s hockey
The Windsor Lancers got to overtime, but fell 3-2 in extra time to the Waterloo Warriors in OUA women’s hockey action.
Maggi DeWolf-Russ and Sierra Moreau scored for the Lancers, who opened the season on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Laurier.
St. Clair baseball
The St. Clair Saints baseball team fell one game short of a perfect regular season.
In the club’s final doubleheader of the OCAA regular season, the Saints improved to 17-0 with a 3-1 win on Saturday in the opener at Lacasse Park against the Humber Hawks, but fell 10-7 in the second game.
Right-hander Brady Knelsen allowed just five hits in seven innings in the opener to earn his league-leading sixth win while also adding 10 strikeouts to push his league-leading total to 51 on the season. Colin Robinson had two-run single in the second inning provided the needed offence.
Rowan Glasgow, Josh Anderson, Andrew Sleiman and Henry Real each had two hits in the second game for the Saints, who will have the top seed at the OCAA championship starting Friday.
