Windsor police were conducting an “active investigation” on the city’s east side Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Monticello Street near Firgrove Drive in the Riverside area.
Few details have been released, but a source told the Star there had been a shooting at a house. City police aid Thursday morning that officers will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
Gary Francoeur, director of corporate communications for the Windsor Police Service, said there is no immediate threat to public safety.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
