In the days leading up to Liam Payne’s tragic death, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared one of the final photos of the former One Direction star, along with a touching message.
The model posted the snapshot on TikTok, capturing a peaceful moment of the couple riding horses in the countryside.
Liam, dressed casually, sat atop a horse, while the caption read: “I am very grateful for the simple things in life.”
Liam and Kate had been dating since October 2022, five months after the singer had ended his engagement to the model Maya Henry.
Hours before his death on Wednesday, Liam took to Instagram to share his late start to the day with his girlfriend.
“This is the breakfast table, just enjoying breakfast and coffee even though it’s 1pm,” Liam said in the video, with Kate chiming in from the background, calling them “losers” for their late start.
