London five-piece Sunken have shared new song ‘Friends’.
The band shared an intriguing EP back in 2020, and the shadowy songwriting seemed perfectly made for those long, strange lockdown days.
Since then, releases have become rare, but Sunken emerge from the darkness with a brand new song.
Out now, ‘Friends’ began as a voice note, and it retains that slightly sketch-like quality; brought to life by the five-piece working together, it has a pleasingly unfinished quality, akin to those early bar italia releases, or Dean Blunt’s guitar-led abstractions.
Avowedly unconventional, ‘Friends’ comes backed with a surreal, dream-like clip, with its vintage MTV aesthetics given a David Lynch style overhaul.
