For many years, the MacKenzie Art Galley has been a centrepiece of art and culture in Saskatchewan’s capital city.
This week, one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers will take centre stage.
1. Sensoria
The MacKenzie is hosting a “feast for the senses” on Friday night with its Sensoria Gala at the TC Douglas Building.
The dress-to-impress fundraising event includes a live and silent auction, complimentary bar and culinary items, music, dancing and more.

The highlight of the gala is the live art auction, where patrons can bid against each other for one-of-a-kind pieces by local, national, and international artists like Wilf Perreault, Heather Cline, David Garneau, David Thauberger, and others.
Proceeds go toward supporting the MacKenzie’s exhibitions and public programs.
“Embrace warmth, community, interconnectedness, and the healing power of art as you immerse yourself in playful explorations of textures, sights, tastes, and sounds,” says a news release. “This isn’t just another gala. It’s a celebration of the richness of the full human experience, where art and sensation intertwine. Every ticket purchased and auction item sold helps ensure that the MacKenzie continues to be a vibrant place where art, culture, and community thrive.”
Those unable to attend the live art auction have the option of bidding by proxy.
