Re: KINSELLA: Real political leaders don’t shy away from choosing sides, online, Oct. 12
Kudos to Warren Kinsella for pointing out that, unlike Justin Trudeau, Pierre Poilievre is showing real leadership by fully supporting Israel. What a contrast with Poilievre calling for a ban of Samidoun, which is linked to terrorist groups and behind anti-Israeli protests in Canada, while Trudeau, until finally doing something about it this week, waffled on the serious issue.
Whereas Trudeau wants an Israeli ceasefire even after Iran fired 200 missiles into Israel, Poilievre is not against Israel attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. After all, Iran has repeatedly called for the total destruction of Israel.
Trudeau makes every decision based on what is best for him politically and not what is best for Canada or its allies.

PM ASLEEP SINCE LAST OCTOBER?
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s response to shots being fired for the second time at Bais Chaya Mushka Girls Elementary School in Toronto was to go on X and post the message, “Antisemitism is a disgusting and dangerous form of hate — and we won’t let it stand.”
Who’s the “we” in we won’t let it stand? Has Trudeau been asleep since last October? Did he hear Imam Adil Charkaoui on Oct. 28 in Montreal calling on Allah to kill enemies of the people of Gaza? Did he see all the pro-Palestinian university encampments where Jewish students were afraid to go to school? He said nothing after Palestinian supporters in Vancouver were chanting, “Death to Canada,” while burning a Canadian flag.

More and more, Trudeau’s lack of a backbone has me wondering how he’s able to stand upright without falling over.

CRINGEWORTHY HAT TRICK
There are three things that make me cringe. Toronto Blue Jays’ management, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ “success” in the playoffs and whenever Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says anything.
